Sales and Marketing Executive – Training Sales

Package:
Annual Salary+ OTE and mileage - £32k OTE - uncapped commission

We are looking for passionate, ambitious and disciplined person to join our team to help energise and sky-rocket the sales of our training services in the following areas: Construction, Health and Safety, First Aid, Management and Leadership.

You will be responsible for:
  • Driving volume and developing business
  • Sales target
  • Developing relationships
  • Increase awareness of our training services
You will have:
  • Ideally – a good knowledge of commercial training (CITB, IOSH, NEBOSH, First Aid) however full training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Held a full UK (or European) driving licence for a minimum of 12 months
  • Strong telephone sales and customer service skills
  • A passion for completing all tasks to the highest standard and be driven by results
  • Very strong relationship building skills and pride yourself in your ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Confidence with data and using the insight to increase sales
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and effectively manage your own workload
  • This role is an essential car user – own car is essential

About WJB Training and Consultancy

Thank you for considering WJB for your next step. We are a small commercial training provider based in Bolton with a second centre in Liverpool. The business has grown by from strength to strength over the last three and half years. We have introduced innovative ways the automate processes and grown our revenue year on year. We have recently diversified by becoming a broker of training courses for other training providers on a national basis. We now need to develop our team to grow and you might be the right ingredient!

Job Purpose

An exciting new opportunity for a Business Manager to help grow and develop our company. WJB is a small family run business that has seen huge growth over the last three and half years. We are now looking to develop a small team to take WJB to the next level and double revenue over the next three years. This position is responsible for the performance of the business against KPIs to ensure growth in revenue and the client database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the KPIs are being delivered as well as maximising sales potential.
  • Supervision of 2 team members and dealing with freelance trainers
  • Monitoring performance and delivering weekly reports to the directors
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all training activities
  • Working to strengthen and build the brand by delivering exceptional service to clients
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure consistent, professional and proactive sales practices are delivered, in line with defined KPIs
  • Ensure all potential business and leads are followed up on to maximise sales potential.
  • Local promotion and marketing activities in keeping with the general mission of WJB Training and Consultancy Ltd.
  • Preparation and maintenance of accreditation and visits by external organizations (eg CITB, HABC, CMI, etc.)
General

Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills and independently develop skills as applicable.

Any other Ad hoc duties that are felt reasonable to fulfil the Job Description.

Location

Your normal place of work will be our Bolton centre. However, local travel will be expected, and mileage paid at 45ppm

Person Specification
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Experience of working to set KPI’s and achieving them
  • Team performance management
  • Knowledge of a CRM, particularly reporting functions
  • Excellent communication skills & time management skills
  • Financial management – keeping budgets, managing expenses
  • Ability to create and maintain business networks/relationships
  • Office administration experience (IT literate, particularly MS Excel)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Attention to details
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar business manager role although training and development will be provided for the right candidate
  • You will be comfortable using a CRM and MS Office
  • Ideally you will also have a good understanding of social media, in particular Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter but full training will be provided
  • Email marketing – Mailchimp
  • You must have a full current driving licence and have your own transport.
