Sales and Marketing Manager

Job Purpose:

Due to expansion of our training offer this role is needed to drive sales, new business (direct customers) and business development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a competent and knowledgeable sales and marketing professional to create and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing clients. With a keen interest in the sector, you will join an expanding organisation at grass roots level.

You will be responsible for:
  • - Driving volume of lead generation and developing business.
  • - Increase awareness of our training services in the area and relevant sectors via digital marketing
  • - Providing information to customers on course availability and advertising our open course calendar with them – which can mean providing late deals and pricing updates
  • - Developing relationships with new and dormant customers
  • - Co-ordinating enquiries from start to finish – respond to enquiries and provide relevant information on courses leading to booking
  • - Promote training and provide full information on training courses, consultancy services and NVQ’s
  • - Ensure all accreditation’s standards are adhered to and met continually by the centre
  • - Providing support to the Directors and conduct additional ad hoc duties as and when required
  • - Communicate effectively and support the team
General
  • - Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills and independently develop skills as applicable.
  • - Any other Ad hoc duties that are felt reasonable to fulfil the Job Description.

Skills & Qualities

We are looking for someone who is also personable over the phone, providing great customer service with a zest for digital media marketing: -

  • - Knowledge of effective digital marketing
  • - Able to develop effective and productive working relationships with direct customers and third-party training providers
  • - Knowledge of Industry Training; CITB, NVQ’s, CMI, First Aid, etc. – Desirable although full training will be provided
  • - Manage customer disputes
  • - Excellent communication skills & time management skills
  • - Ability to create and maintain business networks/relationships
  • - Analytical and strategic thinking
  • - Attention to detail
Desirable Experience
  • - Social media marketing and email marketing; Mail Chimp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • - Ability to achieve shared goals
  • - Strong interpersonal skills
  • - Commercially aware and focused on results driven process
  • - Training Provider experience, preferably within the Health and Safety sector
  • - Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • - Ability to work under pressure

Sales and Marketing Apprentice

Contract:

FULL TIME

Reports to:

Training Manager

Location:

Bolton

Job Purpose:

This position contributes to the successful coordination of our Sales and Marketing strategy. This is a developmental role and job holder will be trained in the workplace over a period of 12 months.

You will be responsible for:
  • - Administrate marketing emails and social media; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • - Following up leads via telephone and emails
  • - Provide information on course availability and prices
  • - Managing an enquiry from start to finish
  • - Reception duties, meeting and greeting learners and trainers, visitors etc.
  • - Maintaining the breakout area and refreshments at each break time and at lunch
  • - Working with the Training Manager on course notifications and submission of paperwork
  • - Data Entry
  • - General administration and housekeeping
General
  • - Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills and independently develop skills as applicable.
  • - Any other Ad hoc duties that are felt reasonable to fulfil the Job Description.
Location

Your normal place of work will be our Bolton centre. However, as the business grows we hope the role will too – this may mean travel to other sites.

Person Specification

Sales and Marketing Assistant

Job Purpose:

Due to expansion of our training offer a need has arisen for a Sales and Marketing Assistant to support our Sales and Marketing strategy.

You will be responsible for:
  • - Administrate marketing emails and social media; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • - Following up leads via telephone and emails
  • - Working directly with a range of customers to provide information on course availability
  • - Taking online and over the phone payments
  • - Promote training and provide full information on training activities
  • - Liaising with sales executive and other team members to respond to training requirements
  • - Providing support to the 2 Directors and conduct additional ad hoc admin duties as and when required
  • - General administration and housekeeping
  • - Relief Reception duties, meeting and greeting learners and trainers, visitors etc
General
  • - Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills and independently develop skills as applicable.
  • - Any other Ad hoc duties that are felt reasonable to fulfil the Job Description.
